בינואר 2006 קיבלה ממשלת ישראל החלטה לפעול לחידוש הביתן היהודי במוזיאון מחנה ההשמדה אושוויץ-בירקנאו. החלטה זאת באה בעקבות ביקור ראש ממשלת ישראל דאז, אריאל שרון, זמן קצר קודם לכן באושוויץ…
