Alon High-Tech Building

Ben Gurion University of the Negev is one of Israel’s leading universities in many groundbreaking global research fields.
This building is home for the Computer Sciences and Communications Systems Engineering departments. The building contains staff offices, computer laboratories, an auditorium and conference rooms.
Special preparations were needed for its construction because the building is located adjacent to other buildings in the middle of campus making utility relocations necessary.
The building façades are comprised of smooth architectural concrete, glass and steel. Its south side has a special dual-layered glass wall that reduces the penetration of sunrays, providing optimal thermal insulation compatible with this desert region.
