[Tafnit] prepared a zoning plan at the edge of the old Givat Shaul Industrial Zone that makes use of land reserves while creating a buffer to preserve the landscape and natural resources of the Jerusalem Forest leading to Beit Zayit.
This project was planned and implemented in the framework of the development of Jerusalem’s industrial zones based on the city’s classification by law as a top priority for industrial development.
This plan created new areas for high-tech industrial buildings while rehabilitating the landscape at the edge of the Jerusalem Forest and preventing continued destruction of the forest through the unregulated dumping of construction waste and soil surpluses.
The project is characterized by a complex topography and required [creative] engineering solutions in order to stabilize the slopes, the roadway and the industrial lots.
