Mandel Institute of Jewish Studies

Hebrew University in Jerusalem was founded in 1918 and officially opened in 1925.
This site is located on the eastern slopes of Mount Scopus in complex topography that required stabilization of the building on a hilly slope. Special foundations were constructed for the building for this purpose.
The institute building houses research departments and offices for researchers, lecture halls, a library, seminary rooms, classrooms, a cafeteria, and service and support areas.
