Teddy Stadium South Grandstand

Moriah – Jerusalem Development Company, Ltd. was established in 1986 and has been engaged since then in the development of infrastructure in Jerusalem.
Addition of the southern grandstand at Teddy Stadium in the Malkah neighborhood of Jerusalem by about 9.500 seats increased the stadium’s capacity to more than 33,000 seats.
In the framework of this project, an entrance area and box offices, a parking facility, a press conference room and media room were constructed under the grandstand.
The project also included permanent infrastructure for television broadcasting, an ushers’ room, a covered plaza for media vans, covered areas for emergency vehicles, a bus parking facility, offices and service areas.
Together with the construction of the grandstand, the lawn area was raised in order to improve fan experience by improving viewing angles.
Following the upgrade, the stadium now meets standards and requirements of the international soccer association UEFA\FIFA.
The works were executed within a very short time period without shutting down stadium activities in order to prepare for the 19th Maccabiah Games, which opened in a ceremony at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem on July 18, 2013.
