The Rubin Academy of Music and Dance

The Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, founded in 1933, is a leading higher education institution in Israel certified to grant academic degrees in the fields of music and dance composition, performance and instruction. The objectives of the academy find expression also in two prestigious secondary institutions located next to it: a high school and a conservatory.
Following its establishment, the academy resided first in the city center, later moved to the Zalman Schocken Building on Balfour Street and, in 1985, moved again to Givat Ram in its current building.
The Academy of Music campus is located on the western edges of the Givat Ram Campus in an area with steep topography.
Implementation of the project was based on a master plan that includes a high school, dormitory, gymnasiums, a concert hall and dance and performance halls.
The Academy of Music building was constructed at the first stage, which included classrooms, rehearsal halls, dance halls and offices, sports fields, an access road, site development and landscaping works.
